Christopher Columbus and Population Control

Only in the first grade can two such seemingly distinct topics become combined.

I was reading a story to the children about Christopher Columbus and his adventure 516 years ago. The book I was reading said there were about 90 sailors which meant there were about 30 men on each ship. One girl's hand shot up as soon as I said that. I asked what she wanted to say and she said (all in one breath), "I think it is good there were no women, because if there were, they might get pregnant"!

Who could argue with that?

I love my job!
